India, South Africa progress Mozambique joint-venture plant

THE GOVERNMENTS of India, South Africa and Mozambique are progressing plans for a joint-venture greenfield nitrogen and phosphate fertilizer project in Mozambique. The plans are at an early stage, but it is likely that India's state-owned fertilizer company Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers (RCF) would be an equity participant in the proposed joint venture, From the South African side, likely participants would be Industrial Development Corporation and phosphate fertilizer company, Foskor.
