Discussions about the Tampa contract price for January were continuing at press time. Market players had expected the negotiations to be settled this week, slightly earlier in the month than usual because of the holiday season. An increase of $10/mt or more to at least $470/mt CFR is widely expected. US demand remains firm and the main factor preventing a more significant gain is the widely-held view that DAP will be lower going forward.
