BASF Q3 net profits down 68.7%

BASF HAS reported net income of ?237 million for Q3 2009, down 68.7% from ?758 million in Q3 2008. Sales were ?12.8 billion, down 18.9% from ?15.8 billion. All operating divisions reported a net profit, although a decline in the use of fungicides and herbicides reduced sales in the Agricultural Solutions segment by 2%.
