GERMAN COPPER producer Norddeutsche Affinerie (NA) reported that it has secured 90% of the shares in Cumerio, allowing its friendly takeover of the Belgian copper firm to go ahead. NA launched its offer of ?30 ($44.1) per Cumerio share on 28 January (FW Online, 1 February 2008), and the offer expired on 15 February at 16.00hrs German time. NA required a minimum 80% take-up from Cumerio shareholders, and under the terms of the offer document, can now re-open the offer for the outstanding shares.
