Spur Ventures-Hebei Tianren merger in doubt

VANCOUVER HEADQUARTERED Spur Ventures Inc. recently said the company and China's Hebei Tianren remain in discussions concerning their proposed merger, even though the formal agreement reached on 31 May 2006 expired on 31 December last year. Spurs' president and CEO Dr Robert Rennie said a 30 January statement that while there remains the "possibility" that the merger will proceed, he revealed the company is now in advanced discussions on other initiatives.
