DSM sells polymers and resin businesses

Dutch company DSM has sold the bulk of two of its subsidiaries, including its caprolactam and acrylonitrile interests, to private equity company CVC Capital Partners. DSM and CVC will form a new company from the former’s polymer intermediates and composite resins units that will be 65% owned by CVC. The enterprise value of the transaction was stated as ?600 million plus an earn-out of up to ?175 million, while the new company had proforma sales of ?2.1 billion in 2014 and EBITDA of ?106 million.
