The MoARD is expected to issue a tender for the import of DAP imminently, likely to be held in August by local importer AISE. While the tender committee has yet to confirm the DAP volume required, there are rumours circulating in the market that the quantity requirement could be as much as 500-600,000 mt DAP, which is potentially as twice as high as that seen in the DAP tender held in September 2010 for 300,000 mt.
