Granular urea applications finally have slowed in the Southern Plains market, as wet weather and even snow has invaded parts of the region in recent days. Prices have declined from warehouses along the Arkansas River from highs around $370/st FOB to lows of $355/st FOB since late last week. Distributors are trying to assess how much of their movement in prior weeks was destined for spring corn acres, rather than winter wheat ground.
