The influence of octahedral tilt transitions onelectric properties is rarely considered and poorly understood.Recent work has identified a relationship between the tolerancefactor, octahedral tilting and the temperature coefficient of thedielectric constant (#tau#_(#epsilon#)) in Sr and Ba basedcomplex perovskites. This paper discusses the relationship betweenoctahedral tilting and properties in the perovskite relatedcompounds, Ba_(6-3x)Ln_(8+2x)Ti_(18)O_(54).
