Colombian Shrimp Research Associates TSV, NHP Selection, Resistance

摘要

In Colombia's shrimp-breeding program for resistance to Taura syndrome virus (TSV), most broodstock survivors of TSV exhibited necrotizing hepatopan-creatitis (NHP). This indirect selection for resistance to NHP may have occurred along with the selection for TSV resistance. In an NHP challenge test, the authors found that shrimp from the Colombian program had higher resistance to HNP and 30% greater survival that a control line of TSV-SPF shrimp.
