Children's Hospital Boston Makes Zehrafish Feeding Regime Breakthrough

Zebrafish offer a living model system for research in a wide variety of scientific disciplines. Multiple daily feedings and other repetitive inputs have traditionally made their care a very labor-intensive process. However, the Aquatic Resources Program at Children's Hospital Boston recently identified an alternative feeding method that requires less labor. Feeding juvenile zebrafish just once a day with a specially formulated diet can improve growth and offer a more cost-effective feeding solution with no adverse impact on reproductive performance.
