An arrangement for mixing and dispensing in measured amounts a liq. and powder has a mixing vessel into which measured quantities of the liq. and powder are charged and which has an outlet orifice for the mixt. Stirring vanes are mounted on a shaft in the vessel which extends upwards to a drive mechanism above the vessel. The vessel can be moved vertically up and down w.r.t. the stirring shaft so that the outlet orifice of the vessel is opened and closed by the lower end of the stirring shaft as required. The arrangement is esp. intended for mixing baby feeds and dispensing into feeding bottles. Large numbers of feeds can be prepared quickly.
