New tractors hit Aussie shores

Several new tractors have made their way to Australia in recent months and in this edition of Farming Ahead, we take a look at the latest offerings from Japanese manufacturer Kubota and British marque JCB. Words and pictures by Mark Saunders.Kubota has stepped into the mid-power tractor range with the launch of its M7-1 Series which peaks at 127kW. Available in limited supply at the moment, the M7-1 tractors represent a big leap forward for the Japanese manufacturer, renowned for its smaller range oftractors, mowers and diesel engines and generators.There are three models in the range which starts with the M7-131 (97kW) and peaks with the 127kW M7-171. The other model is the 112kW M7-151. Three specification levels are also available; Standard, Premium and Premium KVT.
