Intensiv-Filter's 85th anniversary

300 guests took part in celebrations on 24 August at Intensiv-Filters Velbert-Langenberg production site in Germany, to mark its 85th anniversary. German broadcaster WDR and Mayor of Velbert Stephan Freitag, also in attendance, saw managing directors Konrad Meyr and Thomas Bluggel (both pictured, left) take the rostrum to detail the company's proud history, technological achievements and current impressive market position, its environmental protection expertise being in daily use around the globe. On 10 March 1922, the company Intensiv-Filter was founded in Wuppertal-Barmen by Theodor Hansen, as a consultant engineering and sales company. The concept quickly evolved into a manufacturing business, and the production facilities and range expanded. This created new jobs, which was particularly welcome at a time when Germany was going through a serious recession. By 1932, the company became a subsidiary of 'Ex-Ven'-Werke AG, Barmen. Among his other contributions, Mr Hansen was a partner in the company.
