Decoration of glass containers - always an exciting challenge!

The decoration of simple cylindrical standard glass containers by screen printing is nowadays not especially technically demanding for either the machine manufacturer or the end user. It is far more tricky to decorate square/rectangular flat bottles such as the UK-made blue glass 'Bombay Sapphire' gin container, ranging in size from 200ml up to 1,750ml. Bombay Sapphire is a premium gin marketed by the Bacardi Company. Rexam Glass, Barnsley, has won a five year contract to supply printed blue glass for all sizes of the Bombay Sapphire bottle, with production starting in May 2003 and running virtually all year round.
