NSG proceeds with cash acquisition of glassmaker Pilkington

Nippon Sheet Glass Co has announced that it has made a bid to buy the remaining 80% shares that it does not own in Pilkington plc in a deal that is worth pound1.8 billion.The Japanese company,which already owns approximately 20% of the UK glassmaker,said that it will offer 165p per share.
