Event Advances Food Supply, Value Chain: Meeting bolsters crop input options for rapidly expanding Southern African agriculture

The strength of the crop input industry and the stability of a region's food supply go hand in hand. For a developed economy like SouthAfrica, it has a dual role of expanding productivity and helping its neighbors in Southern Africa access better crop inputs. This relationship was at the forefront of the Farm Chemicals International Trade Summit in Durban, South Africa, where crop inputbuyers and sellers united to fortify the value chain. More than 200 delegates from upwards of 20 countries gathered at the Southern Sun Elangeni Hotel from May 6-8 to build relationships, carve out business deals and learn the facts straight from the source about the market that is set to double by 2020.
