MPOB reflects rapid development at PIPOC

There will be many opportunities for the palm oil sector in Putrajaya this August. Every two years, the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) organizes an international congress that brings together people involved in palm oil business. The last meeting was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in August 2001, and attracted over 1,000 participants from 43 countries. Putrajaya, the new administrative capital of Malaysia, is where MPOB will welcome palm oil growers, processors, exporters, traders, handling companies, importers, technology and services suppliers, manufacturers, scientists and policy makers in 2003. This year, on 24-28 August, MPOB will be hosting the Palm Oil International Congress (PIPOC 2003) at Putrajaya Marriott Hotel, Putrajaya, Malaysia. The theme of the congress is 'Palm Oil - the Power-house for the Global Oils and Fats Economy.
