More companies should add timber to their window and door range, says Peter War-r, MD of A-Plus Windows and Doors. Just having timber product in your range reduces the risk of losing a sale, he claims. Many window and door companies have taken on board the notion that a wider product range can place them in a better position to secure sales. However, few companies have chosen to add timber to their range, which according to Peter Warr, Managing Director of trade supplier A-Plus Windows and Doors, means they are still losing out to their competitors. 'There is a strong residential market and growing commercial market for timber windows and doors and indeed conservatories, but the number of companies that have timber in their product range alongside their PVC-U or aluminium ranges is still very low', says Peter. He continues: 'If an end-user customer has in their mind that they want timber then ideally, you need to be able to satisfy that demand. If you have a timber product available, and carry a sample to show customers, then you reduce the risk of losing the customer altogether'.
