Sampling the '07 Vineland trials

Customers are always asking for new and different varieties. Growers are asking for another tall red, or a short red, or some other criteria to fit their specific need. I see many commercial crops but the only place to see a comparative variety performance is at a trial site. OMAFRA greenhouse floriculture specialist Wayne Brown co-ordinates a comparative poinsettia trial each fall at the Vineland campus of the University of Guelph that illustrates many things about different poinsettia cultivars. Here are some of my overview observations.
