For years, Danny Schweers has deramed of changing something with little current value into a treasured resource. The project manager at CanAgro Produce Ltd, in Delta, B.C. has seen Europeans do it and he wanted to make it work for his company, too. "We had to educate everybody," Danny Schweers says, "local government, provincial, the public.... We met with every advisory committee. If someone had told me it would take two years to do the education I wouldn't have believed them." Rick Hopp, founder and vice-president of business development of Alberta's Maxim Power Corp., has been helping manage this technology for six years in Europe and now in Asia.
