Damage thresholds have now been determined for western flower thrips on sweet pepper. Economic thresholds are an important part of a cost-effective integrated pest management program. These thresholds are useful for determining application timing andfor evaluating the effectiveness of control measures. Economic thresholds are also important for determining the cost:benefit ratio for the various control options.
