Richard Davies' interest in Poultry is deep routed. His Grandfather had a Poultry farm named 'Homestead Poultry,' on which he bred and reared utility Rhode Island Reds and Light Sussex for market. Richard began with a few birds from a rare breed centre along with his sister from a very early age, these included Silver Sussex bantams and Partridge Silkies among others. However intolerant neighbours forced them to give up for a few years until a family move to the country was possible.
