With the spring application season winding down in the U.S.and Canada,J.R.Simplot Company is now officially out of the ammonium nitrate business.Simplot announced last January that it would no longer market AN after this spring because of the "growing climate of concern" about keeping the product secure from terrorists (GM Jan.31,p.1).
