摘要

Electric-vehicle (EV) owners, as well as owners and operators of the electric grid, could avoid big costs if "smart" charging were adopted, according to a new study by Northeast U.S. regional grid operator PJM and EV-battery systems vendor Better Place. "Simply plugging-in one million electric cars could add [US]$750 million in annual wholesale energy costs" in the U.S., according to the study.
