Wartsila to Supply 62-MW Power System for North Sea FPSO Vessel

Wartsila announced January 28 that it won a contract to supply a 62-megawatt (MW) power system for Malaysia-based Armada Kraken’s floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel to be deployed at the Kraken oilfield in the U.K. sector of the North Sea. The contract will include delivery of two identical power generation modules, each housing two, 16-cylinder Wartsila “50DF” multi-fuel engines with generators, waste-heat recovery units and all related fuel, oil and air and other utility systems, according to the company.
