Ford to Triple ‘EcoBoost’ Capacity; Five New Hybrids, PHEVs in 2012

Ford announced January 26 that it will triple its production capacity for “EcoBoost” fuel-efficient engines in 2012 and offer this turbocharged, down-sized gasoline engine in 11 vehicles this year, including the “Escape” sport-utility vehicle, the “Taurus” sedan and the “Fusion” sedan, up from seven models in 2011.
