摘要

The influcence of cerium impurities on the efficiency and the efficiency and the rates of formation and decay of the photoinducessecond harmonic generation in lead-containing glasses based on barium metaphosphate is experimentally investigated.It is shown that introduction of 1.5 mol% of cerium dioxide into the initial glass leads to a substantial gain in the generation efficiency and an increase of at least two orders of magnitude in the dark decay time of the induced quadratic susecptibility.
