Ecopetrol Reports Profit Despite Falling Revenues

Colombia’s state-owned oil company Ecopetrol posted a 1.6 trillion Colombian peso profit ($539 million) in 2016, joining just a handful companies that managed to stay in the black last year (OD Nov.17’16). It also remained in positive territory despite experiencing an 8 decrease in overall revenue year-over-year, bringing in 48 trillion pesos in 2016.
