A call to all nurses working in geriatrics: make 2007 a great year by joining the campaign: Advancing Excellence in America's Nursing Homes.

With the winter holidays behind us all and spring ahead, I am urging all of us in geriatric nursing to take on the challenge of making 2007 a great year in geriatrics. We can do this individually in the one-on-one care we provide, through research, in the facilities we work with and for, and with the students (future geriatric leaders!) we teach. We can also do this collectively by working on interdisciplinary initiatives to improve geriatric care.
