Quicksilver's 2009 Capex Spending to Focus on Texas

Quicksilver Resources Inc. announced its 2009 capital budget will primarily focus on Texas, where the company has over 700,000 acres in holdings. The company will spend $475 million, nearly 80% of the $600 million budget, on Texas projects, with $110 million being allocated to Canada and the remaining $15 million to be spent in other holdings in the U.S. Quicksilver said that its hedge position will allow the company to meet the capex spending up to an additional reduction of $2 to NYMEX natural gas prices.
