Petrobras ends talks to buy Eni stake in Portugal's Galp

Brazilian oil and gas company Petrobras confirmed Monday it had ended discussions with Eni to purchase the Italian oil and gas company’s 33.34% stake in Portuguese Galp after the two parties failed to agree a price. The 33.34% in Galp is worth EUR 3.8 billion ($5.15 billion) according to the current market value of the company. Eni said Monday that it was in no rush to sell the asset.
