Australasia - Pipelines Queensland Gas Company plans 820 km pipeline in possible response to BG fears

Australia 's Queensland Gas Company (QGC) announced on Tuesday that it intends to use a planned 820 km pipeline to New South Wales to upgrade its Berwyndale South processing plant into a major supply hub. QGC operates one coal bed methane ( CBM ) field near Berwyndale, in Queensland , and is constructing production facilities at a second nearby field. The projected 820 km Queensland to Hunter Gas Pipeline (QHGP) would run from those fields to Newcastle , in New South Wales .
