EUROPE - COMPANIES OMV notifies European Commission of MOL merger plan

OMV, Austria's largest energy company, is proceeding with its proposed merger with MOL, Hungary’s partly state-owned oil and gas monopoly. OMV submitted a formal merger notification yesterday to the European Commission’s Directorate General for Competition.
