The Russian Ministry of Transport has ordered a pair of salvage and rescue ice breakers to support Arctic offshore operations from German shipyard, Nordic Yards. The vessels are icebreakers of the second highest ice class designed for operating in the Arctic and will be used for patrols and rescue operations in offshore oil and gas fields.
