Reliance to develop 3 GW LNG-to-power project in Bangladesh

Indian electricity firm Reliance Power has signed an MoU with the government of Bangladesh to develop a 3 GW LNG-to-power project and FSRU terminal in Bangladesh, Reliance said over the weekend. The FSRU will be located in Maheshkhali Island, 400 km southeast of capital city Dhaka. Estimated at USD 3 billion, the project would be the largest-ever foreign investment in Bangladesh, Reliance said.
