EPC contract awarded for $4.1 billion offshore Indonesian project

A consortium comprising Japanese, Korean and Indonesian companies has been awarded the EPC contract for the $4.1 billion development of Indonesia’s Jangrik and North East Jangrik offshore gas and condensate fields operated by Eni, the country’s regulator SKKMigas said today. PT Saipem Indonesia, a local unit of Milan-listed Saipem SpA, Tripatra Engineers and Constructors, Chiyoda and Hyundai Heavy Industries have been appointed to engineer, procure, construct and install a Floating Production Unit (FPU) at the site, the regulator said.
