THIS YEAR'S Annual Conference and Engineering Update placed innovation firmly at its heart. With topics ranging from carbon capture and storage to new technologies used to measure the calorific value of natural gas, there was no shortage of food for thought. ' Held in the Sir Denis Rooke Building at Loughborough's Holywell Park, the two-day event saw scores of engineers and managers eager to soak up some fresh ideas, witness the conference presentations and enjoy the many stands at the accompanying GasExpo.
