OIL AND gas firms must recruit more new staff in spite of the crude price plunge or risk worsening the skills shortage facing the industry, it has been claimed. Eddie Norrie of accountancy giant KPMG said firms need to take a strategic approach to ensuring they will have enough skilled staff in future even as they deal with the challenges posed by the current low oil price.
