Production of a release liner for adhesive surfaces, especially on adhesive tape or film, comprises providing a substrate film (1), applying firmly-adhering raised structure(s) (3a, 3b) to at least one surface and covering the surface and structures with a release layer (2). Independent claims are included for (1) adhesive products with this type of release liner; (2) method of avoiding the risk of forming gas or liquid inclusions in bonding an adhesive product with a substrate; (3) method of avoiding the risk of forming gas or liquid inclusions in bonding using a liquid adhesive.
