Stadium-related problems are currently the object of studies involving several engineering aspects, mainly due to the fact that their use for events (such as concerts) continues to increase: old structures were not designed to withstand the dynamic loads produced by thousands of people jumping up and down or moving in sync to the rhythm of the song played. Nonetheless, although aesthetically appealing from an architectural point of view, more recent structures are much lighter, with a low stiffness, and, generally speaking, relatively low first natural frequencies and significant motion amplitudes.
