Despite the first promising findings [1,2], the available literature does not provide a comprehensive account on the use of cardiofemoral index (CFI) for the diagnosis of fetal anemia in Rh(D) alloimmunized pregnancies [3]. There are no studies on its reliability, since CFI was studied only in one center. Furthermore, CFI was evaluated exclusively among pregnancies presenting high-risk to fetal anemia and submitted to invasive procedures for its diagnosis or treatment [1,2]. Thus, this study aimed at reassessing the performance of CFI in predicting severe fetal (or neonatal) anemia.
