India Power Majors Propose 100-MW IGCC Plant

Electric equipment maker Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL) and India’s biggest power producer NTPC reportedly are teaming-up on a proposed 100-megawatt (MW) integrated-gasification combined cycle (IGCC) power project. According to an April 9 report from Indo-Asian News Service quoting BHEL Executive Director A.V. Krishnan, “talks between the two companies have progressed. Discussions have been held on parameters and the plant design is already available with us.”
