Parallel importers must not evade reporting obligations, says Danish pharma industry

Despite assurances contained within the Danish guidelines on the parallel importing of medicines, parallel importers are not being treated in the same way as manufacturers as far as the reporting of adverse incidents is concerned. In fact, the pharmaceutical industry association, Lif, has accused parallel importers of having a "free ride" where such reporting is concerned and has called on the national medicines agency (LEegemiddelstyrelsen) to amend the regulations.
