Talisman income jumps, but output dips

Talisman Energy pumped 435,000 boe/d in the first quarter this year, down from 450,000 boe/d in the same period last year, with a fall in North Sea output dragging the numbers down. Announcing net income of US $228m, compared to $455m in the first quarter of 2009, Talisman said production from the UK averaged 86,000 boe/d in the first quarter of 2010, a 20% drop from the first quarter of 2009.
