Support service player Cape said "trading in the first quarter was mixed with solid order intake and revenue, but lower than expected margins". Cape's overall trading for Q1 2016 was mixed. Order intake was solid and the order book at the end of the quarter was US $1,243 Bn (￡862m), compared to $1,242 Bn (￡861m as of 31 December 2015. "Revenues developed positively as the group benefitted from favourable foreign exchange rate movements and a faster than expected ramp up on the Wheatstone project in Australia. The group, experienced a greater downward pressure on margins than previously anticipated and, as a result, group operating profit was below expectations," Cape said.
