Colour aids critical patient care

US medical and surgical products manufacturer Applied Medical Technology worked with thermoplastic compounder RTP Company to develop a compound with a special purple colour for its medical feed sets.The precoloured LDPE material is used to mould a feed set strap that clearly indicates that the portal on an enteral gastronomy device is a food port and not a medication port.
