A compression moulded interior door trim produced by Drax-lmaier using a BASF acrylic copolymer won an award in the SPE's recent automotive innovations competition. The thin-wall 70% natural fibre reinforced acrylic resin plastic door inner panel, featuring a fibre needled mat from J Dittrich & Sonne, was designed for the 2008 model year BMW 7-series car and was commended by SPE for its light weight and cost-effectiveness.
