Sabic IP improves plateable resins

Sabic Innovative Plastics has announced an updated family of Cycoloy PC/ABS and Cyco-lac ABS resins that have been optimised for chrome plating. Chrome plating is not only a fairly costly process, says the company, but can also be unforgiving in terms of quality. In automotive applications, for instance, even the slightest defects in a chromed part can create a negative impression of the entire vehicle.
