The oncologic urologist relies on an informative, detailed, and exact pathologic result for the optimal management of the patient with urologic cancel. The pathology report should not only contain the correct histopathologic diagnosis but also mention other parameters that are known to be of prognostic importance. It is also a crucial task for this team to identify new parameters that may aid and guide the oncologic urologist to perform better treatment and follow-up. The understanding, cooperation, and coordination between the urologist and pathologist are essential for the mutual benefit of the patient.
